Meriel Cunningham is a British mezzo-soprano and actor based in London. 

​

Described by The Stage as "mesmerising" for her recent portrayal of Carmen with Prologue Opera, Meriel's 2022-23 season has been exciting and varied with roles in opera, operetta and musical theatre. 

​

Highlights this season include Phoebe (The Yeomen of the Guard, National G&S Opera Company), Milly King (The Mikado, Charles Court Opera), and as a Horizon Artist, performing and hosting at DEBUT's signature concerts across London. 

​

A graduate of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Meriel continues to study with John Evans.
